CTR Insight
"TikTok covers are cropped differently on your profile and in the feed. Keep your title in the middle of the frame so it survives both."

What size will my download be?
This tool saves the cover image that TikTok publishes for sharing a video. That image is usually smaller than the 1080 × 1920 the creator uploaded, and TikTok compresses it. The size can differ from one video to the next, so check the width and height in the file's details after you download.
If the image is too small
- For reference, mood boards or studying a competitor's cover, the downloaded size is normally enough.
- For print or a large design, run it through the Image Upscaler to enlarge it.
- If it is your own video, export the cover from your original project file. That will always be sharper than any downloaded copy.
Why the cover looks different on a profile
A profile shows only the middle of each cover. A title placed near the top of a 1080 × 1920 cover is cut off there. Design covers with the title in the middle. The TikTok Safe Zone Checker shows where the app's buttons will sit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size is a TikTok thumbnail?
Covers are designed at 1080 × 1920 pixels (9:16). On a profile, TikTok shows only the middle of the cover.
Will I get the full 1080 × 1920 image?
Not always. The tool saves the cover TikTok publishes for sharing, which is often smaller. Check the file's dimensions after downloading.
Can I make a downloaded cover bigger?
Yes. Use the Image Upscaler to enlarge it. Results are best on clear, simple images.
Does TikTok compress covers?
Yes. TikTok re-saves uploaded images at a lower quality to load faster.
